We take Apple iCloud account as an example to explain how to import external contact information for friend search. First, enter the Apple ID and password in the text box, then click the “Search Friends” button to enter the Add Friends page. (Note that the account and password entered here are not Facebook accounts and passwords. At the same time, Facebook will not record the accounts and passwords of external platforms, so you don’t have to worry about password leakage.)
On this page, we can see how many iCloud contacts are using Facebook, and how many iCloud friends are already Facebook friends. The remaining contacts are also listed below. We can check the checkbox to the left of the avatar to be added as a friend, and then click the “Add Friends” button, so that Facebook will help us send a friend request to these friends.
This page shows that Facebook has successfully sent a friend request to our friends. After the other party accepts the request, we can view each other’s personal homepages. In addition to adding friends who are already Facebook users, you can also send invitations to friends who are not Facebook users in the imported contact list, inviting these friends to join Facebook and become our friends. As long as you select “Yes”, Facebook will send emails to these people. This function is generally less used.
It should be noted that Facebook will automatically send an invitation and up to two reminders on your behalf to each friend you wish to invite. The content of the reminder may be different from the original invitation and can be canceled in the Invitations and Imported Contacts page (where you can manage contacts). Facebook will store the provided email address as a contact on your behalf and may use it to generate friend recommendations for you and others. We can delete all contacts in the Delete All Contacts page.
Return to the main page of searching for friends, and you can filter and search for friends according to different conditions at the bottom right. We can filter according to the following attributes.

The filtering conditions for different user accounts will vary, which is related to the account information we filled in previously.
