In order to crack down on intellectual property infringement on the platform, Alibaba has formulated the “Alibaba International Station Intellectual Property Rules”, the main contents of which include the following aspects:
I. Intellectual Property Infringement
Alibaba International Station (hereinafter referred to as “International Station”) users shall not use website services to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including the following two aspects.
1. General Infringement
(1) Improper use of the trademark rights, copyrights and other rights of others in the published product information, stores or domain names.
(2) Improper use of the trademark rights, copyrights and other rights of others when publishing and selling products.
(3) The published product information or other information used causes confusion or misidentification among users.
2. Serious Infringement
(1) Copying and publishing or selling the works of the copyright owner without the permission of the copyright owner, including books, audio-visual products, computer software, etc.
(2) Publishing or selling products that are not produced with the permission of the registered trademark owner or its licensee in the country of origin of the product.
II. Penalties for Intellectual Property Infringement
For platform penalty rules for general infringements and platform penalty rules for serious infringements, please refer to the “Alibaba International Station User Violation Penalty Standards”.
III. Supplementary Provisions
(1) The International Station reserves the final right of interpretation, decision and all rights related to the above-mentioned handling measures.
(2) The International Station has the right to revise these rules and make them public in a timely manner based on the adjustment of laws and regulations, changes in the business environment and other factors. The revised rules will take effect on the date specified in the public announcement.
(3) These rules are part of the rules published by the International Station. If these rules are inconsistent with other rules published by the International Station, these rules shall prevail. For matters not covered by these rules, other rules published by the International Station shall prevail.
(4) If there is any inconsistency, ambiguity or conflict between the Chinese and non-Chinese versions of these rules, the Chinese version shall prevail.
