In order to help merchants on Alibaba International Station better achieve self-marketing, continuously attract new customers and promote secondary visits, Alibaba International Station has currently launched discount marketing, coupons, SNS (Social Network Services) smart sharing, video marketing and live marketing tools.

Discount marketing refers to the price discount given by the seller to the buyer when selling goods. It is a commercial discount limited to the price of goods. This method is often relatively short-term, with special conditions and temporary, such as bulk discounts, one-time clearance discounts, etc. On Alibaba International Station, discount marketing is a normalized self-marketing tool for merchants. By setting limited-time discounts, the order conversion rate can be improved and a large number of orders can be obtained in a short period of time.

Discount marketing rules:

The main rules of Alibaba International Station discount marketing include:

①The discount information of the active products will be displayed on the product details page:

②Currently, only directly placed products can set discount marketing;

③”Direct limited-time discount” can only be applied to orders placed directly by buyers, provided that they are not sample orders, within the validity period of the limited-time discount, and the discount discount inventory is greater than zero:

④The limited-time discount reduces the product payment portion of the order amount, excluding logistics costs;

⑤If there are multiple limited-time discount activities on the same product, the most favorable one will be displayed first according to the discount strength;

⑥The calculation logic for the superposition of discounts on the same product in an order is: first deduct the limited-time discount, then deduct the coupon.

3. Discount marketing settings

(1) Enter the discount marketing path. In the My Alibaba backend, a merchant selects Marketing Center → Discount Marketing.

(2) Create a new activity.

Activity editing is divided into two parts: basic information, product selection, and discount.

The basic information mainly sets the activity name, activity time, activity group, discount conditions, etc. Among them, the activity time is selected as US time, marked with the corresponding Chinese time; the activity group can only select everyone for the time being; the discount condition is a discount. The product selection part needs to be added manually, and only directly ordered products can be selected as activity products. A single activity supports adding up to 50 products. After the product selection is completed, click the “OK” button.

(3) Set the inventory and discount of the activity product.

After the manual product selection is completed, the inventory and discount method of each activity product can be set, as shown in Figure 3-12. The setting range of the discount method is 1~9.9, and one decimal place can be retained.

(4) Complete the creation.

(5) Manage activities.

When the activity time arrives, the product details page of the activity product will display the discount information, and the details page on the PC web page will also display the countdown to the end of the activity. If you need to modify the event information before or during an event, you can go to the event details page and click the “Edit Event” button in the upper right corner to pop up the settings page to edit the event content and event products. You can also end the event early before or during the event.
