Amazon logistics fees consist of three parts: monthly storage fee, delivery fee and basic service fee. The calculation formula is:
FBA fee = monthly storage fee + delivery fee + basic service fee.
FBA fees also depend on the weight and size of the packaged goods. Standard-sized goods refer to goods that weigh no more than 20 pounds after being fully packaged and whose longest side does not exceed 18 inches, the second longest side does not exceed 14 inches, and the shortest side does not exceed 8 inches. Goods that exceed the above dimensions are considered large items. If the goods are sold in sets, the calculation is based on the total weight and size of the whole set of goods after being packaged together.
(1) The monthly storage fee is calculated based on the size of all goods stored in the FBA warehouse and is charged according to the actual space occupied per day. The storage fee varies depending on the size segment of the goods and the month. Amazon’s products can be divided into standard size and oversized size according to their size. Although standard-sized goods are usually smaller than oversized goods, they require more complex and costly racking, cabinet loading and boxing when stored. Monthly storage fees vary depending on the size of the product and the time of year. Since the storage fee standards for each site are different and may change at any time according to the policies of the Amazon platform, sellers can search and view them in the store background of each site, or log in to the global store website to learn about the storage fee details.
(2) Delivery fee is one of the fees charged by Amazon when using FBA for delivery. It is generally charged per piece, and the specific fee depends on the weight and size of the product.
(3) Basic service fees include warehouse consolidation fees, order processing fees, sorting and packaging fees, etc. Since Amazon is a default warehouse, sellers need to consolidate warehouses. This fee will only be charged when consolidation is set up in the background. The specific fee depends on the destination of the selected consolidation.
In addition, sellers can click the “Help” button in the store background and search for “FBA Fee Calculator” to calculate the FBA fee.
Sellers only need to edit the preset values in the corresponding input boxes, and the FBA Fee Calculator will automatically generate indicator data for self-delivery and FBA delivery, including indicators such as profit and profit margin. There are also visual charts on the right side of the page, which can be used to estimate the monthly product volume and total sales, etc.
