(1) Purchase from Amazon’s official designated supplier, website: www.barcodestalk.com.
(2) There is a barcode generator that can mass-produce UPC or EAN for free, but the barcodes generated in this way do not have certificates and many of them have been used. You must not use it when applying for a global store, because if you use a fake UPC, Amazon will cancel your store application once discovered, and Amazon may also require the seller to provide the certificate obtained when purchasing the UPC.
(3) Apply to join the Chinese Commodity Barcode System. When applying, you need the business license registration number and organization code, and the fees vary depending on the type of enterprise. The manufacturing enterprise is RMB 3,000/2 years; the group company is RMB 4,000/2 years; the import and export company is RMB 5,000/2 years. In addition, the barcode film development fee and software fee of RMB 340 must be added. The whole process takes about 2 to 3 weeks. Renewal must be made within 3 months before the expiration date, and the renewal period is also 2 years, but the fee is 1,000 RMB less than the joining fee when applying.
