Statistics show that 20% of new Walmart sellers are from China, and the number may continue to increase. As a Walmart seller, you must be most concerned about the delivery issue, because it is also extremely important for sellers to choose a delivery method that suits them better. So let’s take a look at Walmart’s main delivery methods.

1. Walmart WFS

1) WFS is responsible for receiving/storing/sorting/delivering goods, and Chinese sellers transport the goods to the WFS center. Similar to Amazon FBA, Walmart WFS is responsible for the storage, delivery, customer service, etc. of goods.

After the buyer places an order, Walmart is responsible for the classification, packaging, transportation and delivery of the products.

2) Two-day delivery service

The products are distributed to buyers by Walmart or a third-party company that Walmart cooperates with. Walmart provides sellers with next-day delivery, two-day delivery, three-day delivery and standard (7-day) delivery services. Most sellers will choose the two-day delivery service.

3) Return service

When buyers return goods, they can also return them at Walmart offline stores. Walmart has more than 4,700 offline stores in the United States.

WFS Advantages:

Sellers who choose to use WFS “two-day delivery” will be displayed on Walmart’s front desk “2-days hipping” label and “sold by sellers, fulfilled by Walmart”, enjoy more traffic support on the platform homepage, and improve product conversion rate.

In addition, it is convenient for buyers and returns are more convenient. You can choose to return to offline stores to improve the consumer experience.

WFS Disadvantages:

Since Walmart is still in the development stage, the number of warehouses put into use is not enough, and the warehouse capacity is in short supply. Therefore, products are slow to enter the warehouse and put on the shelves. Now there are conditions for sellers to apply for WFS, so some stores cannot apply for it for a long time.

2. Self-delivery mode

That is, the seller ships the goods by himself. The seller can choose to ship by himself or by overseas warehouses. If the seller ships the goods by himself, it will have a great impact on the timeliness, and in this regard, Walmart will evaluate the performance of the store. Sellers will receive performance emails from the platform on the 1st, 11th, and 21st of each month. If they receive two warnings, Walmart will give them a 21-day rectification period.

The logistics time requirement is 8 working days, but due to too many uncertain factors, sellers can choose overseas warehouses and send the goods to overseas warehouses. When buyers place orders, overseas warehouses will deliver them, shortening the logistics time.

The above is what I shared with sellers about Walmart’s main delivery methods. I hope it will be helpful to Walmart sellers.
