Packaging is a very important factor affecting the quality of transportation. It can be done by the shipper himself or entrusted to a professional packaging service organization. The choice of packaging materials depends on the quality of the goods, and the purpose is to ensure that the goods are safely protected and supported.

Common packaging materials include wooden boxes, cartons, etc. Different countries have different requirements for wooden boxes. Some countries and regions require fumigated wooden boxes. The following are common requirements for international express packaging:

① Pianos, ceramics, handicrafts and other heavy or high-value items should be packed in wooden boxes.

② The United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries have strict regulations on unprocessed logs or log packaging. Fumigation operations must be carried out in the original exporting country, and recognized fumigation certificates must be presented before the importing country can accept the import of goods. Otherwise, a fine will be imposed or the goods will be returned to the original exporting country.

③ Europe has stricter requirements for wooden packaging of pine trees. When goods are imported, there must be a certificate of no pests issued by the quarantine bureau of the original exporting country.

④ Processed wooden furniture does not need to be fumigated.

⑤ Common items in daily life, such as books and various utensils, can be packed in sturdy cartons and treated with moisture-proof.

⑥ Fragile items should be filled with something to avoid damage.

⑦ If conditions permit, lay a layer of waterproof supplies (such as plastic bags, cloth, etc.) in the carton.

⑧ In the same packaging box, light and heavy items should be placed reasonably for easy handling.

⑨ The box should be filled with fillers and should be full. It can be filled with toilet paper, paper towels, small clothes, etc. to prevent movement during transportation.

⑩ If the service organization finds items prohibited from entering or leaving the country, they should be handed over to the customs for processing.
