EMS (i.e. “Express Mail Service”) is a postal express delivery service. It is an international mail express service managed by the Universal Postal Union and is an express delivery service provided by China Post. This service enjoys priority processing rights in customs, aviation and other departments. It delivers international and domestic urgent letters, documents, financial bills, commodity samples and other types of documents and items to users with high quality.
The service is provided by China Post Express Logistics Company, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Post Group Corporation. It mainly operates international and domestic EMS express delivery services. It is the earliest supplier of express delivery services in China and the largest operator in China’s express delivery industry. The company has nearly 10,000 employees nationwide, and its EMS business covers all cities and counties in China and extends to Asia.
EMS express delivery service was launched in 1980, and its business volume has increased year by year, and its business types have been continuously enriched. In addition to providing domestic and international express delivery services, EMS has launched high-end services such as next-morning delivery and next-day delivery within the province, international commitment service and time-limited delivery, and also provides value-added services such as cash on delivery, recipient pays, and flower etiquette express delivery.
