Except for EMS, the five major international express delivery companies, DHL, UPS, FedEx, and TNT, all have other types of surcharges.
(1) DHL
① Remote area delivery surcharge. For express shipments sent to remote areas, a remote area delivery fee will be charged per ticket. Remote areas refer to islands and plateaus, or areas where postal services are not available, or remote, inconveniently located, and less serviced suburbs/towns.
② Remote area pickup surcharge. For express shipments sent from remote areas and the freight is paid by the account holder in the destination country (or paid by a third country account), a remote area pickup fee will be charged per ticket. Remote areas refer to islands and plateaus, or areas where postal services are not available, or remote, inconveniently located, and less serviced suburbs/towns.
