① Advance payment service fee. To speed up customs clearance, UPS can advance duties and taxes for customers. UPS will assess and charge the corresponding advance payment service fee based on the amount of fees already advanced for customers. The advance payment service fee for shipments imported into China will be charged at 2% of import duties and taxes. The minimum additional charge for each shipment is RMB 20.

② Large package surcharge-minimum billable weight (MBW). When the length and girth of two packages (2x width) + (2x height)1 add up to more than 330cm, but do not exceed the maximum size of UPS 419cm, the package will be considered a “large package”. The minimum billable weight of a large package is 40kg, and an additional RMB 378 will be charged for each package.

When the large package surcharge has been charged for the shipment, the additional handling fee will be ignored.

③ Local duties and taxes. The rate table provided by UPS does not include surcharges, value-added tax, duties and other taxes that may be generated according to local regulations.

④ Overweight and overlength charges. UPS Express service does not deliver packages exceeding the following weight and dimensions. If UPS accepts such shipments, an overweight and overlength charge of RMB 378 will be charged for each package:

The maximum weight of each package is 70kg.

The maximum length of each package is 270cm.

The maximum size of each package is 419cm (length + girth [(2x width) + (2x height)]).

⑤ Surcharge for import duties/taxes paid by the sender at the destination. When the payment method of “Sender pays import duties/taxes at the destination” is selected, a surcharge of RMB 120 will be charged to the sender.

⑥ Customs clearance fees. UPS does not charge a surcharge for routine customs clearance services, including formal declarations for shipments with no more than 5 tariff lines. For formal declaration shipments with more than 5 tariff lines, an additional RMB 19 will be charged for each tariff line starting from the 6th tariff line, with a maximum charge of RMB 1,880 per shipment. ⑦ Surcharge for refusal to pay. If the account number of the payee of the shipment does not match the account number provided by the payer, or the account number is invalid due to the consignee or a third party refusing to pay the freight, the sender will be required to pay an additional RMB 80 for each shipment.
