Amazon global selling accounts must be registered in the name of a company, which can be companies in mainland China or Hong Kong.
Personal self-registered accounts can be registered at www.amazon.com, either as an individual or as a company. Please note that once you self-register as an individual, you cannot convert to a global selling account, nor can you enjoy the advantages of global selling.
It is relatively simple for sellers to register Amazon accounts through self-registration, which can be done by individuals or companies. Compared with global selling, self-registration has the following disadvantages.
(1) It is difficult to apply for activities
It is difficult to participate in Amazon activities. Unless the seller performs well and receives an application invitation from Amazon, there is no channel for sellers to apply for flash sales.
(2) Low account security
There is no warning or assistance after the self-registered account is reviewed. According to official statistics, the closure rate of self-registered stores exceeds 56%.
(3) No corresponding training
Self-registration does not have a customer manager, and there is no official training to support ordinary sellers.
