1. Rate Standards

DHL’s specific rates can be found on the website.

2. Reference Time

(1) Online Time: The reference time is calculated from the day after the customer delivers the goods, and the online information will be available 1 to 2 working days later.

(2) Delivery Time: The reference delivery time is 3 to 7 working days, but does not include customs clearance time, except in special circumstances.

3. Volumetric Weight Limit

(1) When charging by weight, the actual weight must be compared with the volumetric weight, and the heavier one must be calculated and charged. The calculation formula for volumetric weight (kg) is: length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm)/5000.

(2) For a single billing weight within 20.5kg (including 20.5kg), 0.5kg is used as the unit of measurement, and less than 0.5kg is charged as 0.5kg; for a billing weight above 20.5kg, 1kg is used as the unit of measurement, and less than 1kg is charged as 1kg.

(3) If the length of a single side of a piece exceeds 120cm or the weight of a single piece exceeds 70kg, an extra length and extra weight fee will be charged.

(4) The actual weight of a single piece cannot exceed 25kg.

(5) The length, width or height of a single piece cannot exceed 140cm, 140cm or 130cm.

4. Notes on DHL Shipping

(1) DHL has the most complete resource integration capabilities and has relatively loose requirements on the size of single pieces of goods. Generally, the size of a single piece of cargo cannot exceed 300cmx200cmx160cm. The specific restrictions can be confirmed by postal code.

(2) Addresses other than English are not accepted (including Macau, China and Taiwan, China).

(3) Postal codes must be provided for the five countries of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Australia.

(4) There is no delivery service to areas other than the capital of countries such as Algeria and Romania. After arriving at the destination, the cargo must go to the capital for customs clearance, otherwise it will be automatically arranged to be returned.

5. Advantages and Disadvantages of DHL

1) Advantages

(1) DHL’s international express delivery is fast, has complete tracks, is safe and reliable, and has particularly strong customs clearance capabilities in the United States and Western Europe.

(2) DHL provides express delivery services to other countries. The delivery options are diverse and reliable, including same-day express delivery for urgent express shipments, next-day express delivery with guaranteed time, and limited-day express delivery with flexible time.

(3) DHL Express has advantages in both price and time for small items. It usually takes 3 working days to Europe and 2 working days to Southeast Asia.

(4) The status of the goods on the DHL inquiry website is updated in a timely manner, and problems are solved quickly.

(5) There is a separate bulk price for items over 21kg, and the bulk price in many regions is cheaper than international EMS.

2) Disadvantages

(1) If you want a good price, DHL is only suitable for goods weighing less than 5.5kg or 21~100kg.

(2) The volume and weight of the product need to be considered, and the restrictions on consigned items are also relatively strict, and many special products are rejected.
