2. Introduction to JD Global Shopping Operation Model

All JD Global Shopping merchants are overseas merchants, and the JD Hong Kong platform is established to sign contracts directly with overseas global shopping merchants. At present, priority review conditions are given to well-known brands (brand agents), well-known retailers (chain department stores), well-known B2B/B2C e-commerce companies, and high-quality merchants with excellent operation teams and operation foundations. The types of stores entering the platform mainly include brand stores, flagship stores, franchise stores, and specialty stores.

All the products sold on the JD Global Shopping platform by the stores are originated from overseas or sold overseas. The products are shipped from countries or regions outside mainland China, or from China’s bonded areas under customs supervision, with 100% transparent customs clearance and full tracking of logistics information. JD Global Shopping supports a variety of online payment methods. In addition to traditional bank card payments, it also includes JD Finance’s JD Baitiao and JD Pay, and also supports WeChat Pay.

JD Global Shopping’s logistics methods are divided into two types: JD bonded area shipment and overseas direct mail. Currently, JD’s self-operated shipping warehouses include Ningbo, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Guangzhou Nansha Bonded Area, as well as Hong Kong direct mail warehouses and US direct mail warehouses. Hot-selling products have a fast inventory turnover, and are generally shipped from bonded areas; for products with high unit prices and slow inventory turnover, overseas direct mail is usually used.
