Comprehensive analysis of Kilimall commodity transportation methods: FBK, GS and DS types
On the Kilimall platform, the choice of product transportation method is crucial to sellers. Depending on the logistics method, Kilimall provides three main types of transportation, namely FBK (Fulfillment By Kilimall), GS (Global Shipping) and DS (Drop Shipping). It is worth noting that Chinese sellers can currently only choose FBK and GS types.
FBK (Fulfillment By Kilimall) transportation type
FBK type is the most popular logistics method on Kilimall platform. This model requires sellers to prepare goods in advance to Kilimall’s overseas warehouse in Africa, and the sorting and delivery of all orders are completed by the overseas warehouse itself. The main advantage of FBK is its excellent delivery time, which is usually completed within 1 to 5 days, and it supports cash on delivery, providing users with more flexible payment options.
GS (Global Shipping) transportation type
GS type sellers need to ship the goods to Kilimall’s Guangzhou sorting center within seven calendar days after the order payment. This model delivers goods through the docking between the platform and logistics providers. The overall time from order payment to receipt of goods is generally between 15 and 30 days. This method is suitable for sellers who want to cover a wider market with their products, but the delivery time is slower than FBK.
DS (Drop Shipping) transportation type
The DS type is specially provided for local African sellers. After receiving payment for the order, the seller can ship directly from its own warehouse. Its express delivery time is similar to FBK, usually between 1 and 5 days, which is suitable for local sellers to quickly respond to market demand. Although this model is not suitable for Chinese sellers, it provides convenient logistics options for local merchants in Africa.
Select shipping type settings
On the Kilimall platform, sellers can select the corresponding “Shipping” method to set up when uploading products. By default, the platform will adopt the FBK mode, but sellers can make manual changes according to their own needs to optimize the logistics solution.
With a comprehensive understanding of these three transportation types, sellers can make more informed choices based on their own business strategies and market needs.
