Five quick entrances and management tips for Jumia Seller Center
For sellers on the Jumia platform, understanding the various functions of the Seller Center is the key to improving operational efficiency. This article will introduce the five main quick entrances to Jumia Seller Center and their importance.
1. Total Pending Orders (total quantity of unprocessed orders)
This is the number of all orders that have not yet been processed. Monitoring this metric helps ensure that all orders are processed in a timely manner.
2. Current Daily Order Volume Limitation (limit order quantity per day)
New sellers need to note that their daily order volume will be limited to five orders in the initial stage. When the daily order volume approaches four orders, you can contact your account manager to request an increase in the Daily Order Volume Limitation (DOL), which is the daily order limit. The account manager will decide whether to improve and by how much based on the store’s performance. It should be noted that the maximum DOL value should not exceed four times the store’s average daily order volume. In addition, if the store’s cancellation rate is too high, the system will automatically lower the DOL until the cancellation rate drops below 2%.
3. Rejected Products
If you see a notification about returns on your home page, it means that some products have been returned. At this time, sellers should make necessary adjustments to the relevant SKU based on the specific reasons provided on the platform to avoid similar situations from happening again in the future.
4. Approved Products
This section lists all products that have been reviewed and allowed for sale.
5. Pending Products (products to be reviewed)
When products are submitted and awaiting platform approval, they will appear here. If you have not received feedback after more than 48 hours, you should communicate with the merchant manager in time to speed up the review process.
Your Rating (store rating) standard
In order to maintain a good store rating, sellers need to meet the following conditions: the cancellation rate must be controlled within 2%, the return rate must not exceed 2%, the effective inventory is at least 1, and the shipment must be completed within 48 hours.
About administrator permissions and API connection
Currently, the Jumia platform does not support the function of deleting administrator accounts, but it does allow adding new administrators. It is recommended that during the initial API docking, Seller API Access permissions be specially set for technical team members to better manage data transmission and other matters. At the same time, before employees leave, remember to update the API Key to prevent service interruption due to personnel changes.
Forgot password
If you forget your account password, you can initiate a password reset request by clicking the “Forgot Password” link on the login page. Sellers will then receive an email from Jumia guiding them through the password change process. If you still cannot log in normally after the change, it may be because the account is marked as Inactive. In this case, you should contact the investment manager as soon as possible to solve the problem.
