Complete process guide for Jumia platform to send forecast information to logistics providers
When using the Jumia platform for logistics management, sellers need to follow a series of standard steps to ensure smooth delivery. Below is a detailed guide to the process.
Step 1: Prepare electronic packing list
Sellers must prepare an electronic version of the packing list (FBJ Packing List). It is important to note that for each purchase order (PO), the seller must correspond to a separate packing list and must not ship in batches. If the actual shipment quantity or model does not match the PO approval content, the seller needs to re-apply for PO in the platform background.
Step 2: Send forecast email to logistics provider
After preparing the packing list, the seller needs to send a forecast email to the logistics provider at least one day in advance. An electronic packing list should be attached to the email and the delivery date should be clearly specified. Jumia’s FBJ overseas warehouse has officially cooperated logistics providers, and sellers can obtain relevant information through the investment manager. For example, if you choose HD International Logistics, the email title must be written in a unified format: Jumia + destination country name + COD Store Name + delivery date. In addition, the specific email address for sending emails also needs to be consulted with the investment manager.
Step 3: Logistics provider confirms forecast information
After receiving the forecast email, the logistics provider needs to check whether the packing list provided by the seller is consistent with the PO content approved by Jumia. After confirming the consistency, the logistics provider will send the SO# to the seller, and the seller needs to fill in this information in the “3PL SO#” option of the packing list, and then pack and ship the goods. If the shipping information does not match, the logistics provider will notify the seller in advance to adjust the shipment quantity and change the packing list. Until all information is consistent with the PO, the logistics provider will send an SO# to the seller.
The above steps can ensure that sellers can communicate with logistics providers efficiently and accurately when using the Jumia platform for logistics management, laying the foundation for smooth delivery.
