For new sellers, they should pay attention to their account performance in a timely manner, such as whether the account is compliant, the account level, the quality of the items listed and the delivery process, the proportion of defective transactions and the reasons for their occurrence, the percentage of disputes received and the percentage of cancelled transactions, etc. Through the eBay seller performance table – Seller Dashboard, you can monitor your seller performance, maintain good seller service, and ensure that the account performance is above the standard.

[Operation Tips]

1. Seller Dashboard.

Enter the account background, click “Seller Dashboard” in the “My Account” drop-down menu on the left, and you can see the following information: the current site, seller level, bad transaction rate, delivery delay rate, unresolved dispute rate, order number upload rate (US site), sales in the past 12 months, and monthly audit indicators in the past 12 months.

2.Transaction defect rate.

The bad transaction rate mainly evaluates the cancellation of transactions (out of stock) and unresolved disputes. Unresolved disputes refer to the situation that the seller fails to handle the buyer’s dispute in time or the buyer is dissatisfied with the seller’s handling result and escalates the dispute to eBay, requiring eBay platform intervention, and eBay determines that the dispute result is the seller’s fault.

3. Late shipment rate (delayed delivery rate).

Although the delayed delivery rate will not cause the account to fail to meet the standard, it is necessary to improve the on-time delivery rate. If this indicator exceeds the standard, it will not only affect the account exposure, but the online product may also be forced by the platform to extend the processing time.

The seller must meet one of the following three conditions, and the transaction will not be counted as logistics delay:

(1) The seller ships the goods within the processing time and uploads a valid tracking number with A-Scan information;

(2) The buyer indicates in the feedback that the goods have been received on time;

(3) The product is delivered within the estimated delivery time.

4. Cases closed without seller resolution (unresolved dispute rate).

There is a separate assessment for unresolved disputes, only Below Standard and Top Rated. Once the standards are exceeded, the seller will fall to Below Standard. The Top Rated standard is that the number of unresolved disputes is ≤2, or the unresolved dispute rate is ≤0.3%.

5. Tracking uploaded on time and validated (valid order number upload rate).

The assessment period is 3 months. This indicator is for all transactions sent to the United States, regardless of the transaction amount. Failure to meet this indicator will not affect the sales amount, but will cause the seller’s rating to fail to reach Top Rated.

If all the above standards are passed with excellent results, eBay sellers will not only get the big gold medal logo of excellent rated sellers, but also, under certain conditions, they can enjoy the qualification of 10% transaction fee refund, and there will be a small gold medal logo on each listing on the buyer’s search results page.
