1. American Water Treatment Exhibition (WEFTEC)

Location: New Orleans, USA

Overview of the exhibition: The exhibition is hosted by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), which is an annual exhibition. It has been held for 92 consecutive sessions since 1928. It is currently the world’s most held water treatment exhibition. The exhibition is also the most influential comprehensive water treatment industry event in the world, providing the best platform for water treatment equipment, sewage treatment equipment, water pumps, water valves and pipeline companies to enter the United States, the largest single overseas market. More than 1,000 exhibitors each year make WEFTEC the world’s largest annual water treatment industry event. The exhibition is also one of the exhibitions with the highest on-site reservation rate. Nearly 80% of the exhibitors in 2019 have booked the next exhibition. After unremitting attempts in the past few years, Chinese exhibitors are now obviously stable, and more and more companies are repeating the exhibition. The North American market is currently the largest single overseas market. Once it can enter, the return on input and output must be very high. This is a market that is very worthy for Chinese companies that produce mid-to-high-end products to explore.

2. Singapore Water Expo (SIWW)

Location: Singapore

Exhibition Overview: If there is any exhibition in the global water treatment field that has occupied the top of the industry from the beginning, it must be the Singapore Water Expo. Since its establishment in 2008, the Singapore Water Expo has become the world’s top industry event since its first session with its strong promotion among global water leaders. Not only many world-renowned water companies have participated in the exhibition, but also the Water Leaders Summit, the World City Summit and the selection and awarding of the Nobel Prize in the water field – the “Lee Kuan Yew Water Resources Award”, etc., which has brought together industry elites in the global water and urban development fields to discuss the development of the industry.

As the financial and trade center of Southeast Asia, Singapore’s market influence covers the entire Southeast Asian market, and its economic and trade influence radiates to markets such as India, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. The proportion of buyers from these markets is also significantly higher than that of similar exhibitions in other regions. This provides a high-quality platform for Chinese exhibitors to expand more overseas markets at one time.

This exhibition is not only suitable for enterprises producing water treatment equipment, but also for complete equipment and engineering companies in the Chinese water industry. The exhibition was changed to a biennial event in 2012. Since 2014, the participation of Chinese enterprises in the Singapore Water Expo has increased significantly. The exhibition area of Chinese enterprises in each exhibition has increased by more than 50% compared with the previous exhibition. In the last exhibition, there were more than 80 Chinese exhibitors with an exhibition area of 1,500 square meters.
