General trade logistics is loaded at the factory and unloaded at the destination, with few handling and loading and unloading times. Exhibition logistics has more transportation links, and the number of loading and unloading times, handling times, and customs inspection times are more than 4 times that of general trade logistics. Therefore, there are special requirements for packaging.
(1) Division of packaging responsibilities between exhibitors and logistics service providers. The packaging materials must be very strong. It is best to choose fumigation-free wooden boxes or aviation boxes. Internal anti-seismic and anti-compression measures should be taken. The exhibition transportation service provider can only guarantee the integrity of the outer packaging box of the goods. If the machine is damaged or malfunctions when the outer packaging box is intact, the service provider will not directly bear the compensation liability for the machine, but will assist the relevant insurance assessment agency to investigate and define the compensation liability.
(2) Requirements for packaging of individual exhibits. The outer packaging box of the exhibits cannot be too small. It is recommended to put small items in other larger packaging. At the same time, do not bundle two or more items to avoid the packaging being scattered during transportation and causing the number of pieces to be unclear. To ensure the safety of exhibits, international cargo transportation marks (such as lifting point, center of gravity, fragile, moisture-proof, upward, etc.) are required to be marked on the packaging box; overweight packaging is prohibited.
(3) Cargo damage handling. If the cargo packaging is found to be damaged on site, please retain relevant evidence (such as taking photos, etc.) and notify the exhibition and transportation service provider as soon as possible so that the exhibition and transportation service provider can promptly assist in subsequent arrangements.
(4) Filling in the mark. After the exhibitor has booked a warehouse, the exhibition and transportation service provider will provide the mark format. The exhibitor should fill in the corresponding content and affix the mark to facilitate counting, identification and distribution.
(5) Mark labeling. The mark should be affixed to the opposite sides of the box in a way that is not easy to fall off. Pay attention to moisture-proof and scratch-proof, and do not affix it to the top of the outer packaging.
