When setting Money Off, first enter the seller backend. In the US site, select “Promotions” in the “ADVERTISING” drop-down menu to enter the page shown in Figure 6.3. In the UK site, select “Manage Promotion” in the “INVENTORY” drop-down menu to enter.

After entering the above page, click “Create” to enter the Money Off promotion rule setting page.

The Money Off promotion rule setting is divided into three steps. Step 1 is the setting of “Conditions” (promotion method), which should be filled in according to the actual promotion activities; Step 2 is the setting of “Scheduling” (activity time); Step 3 is the setting of “Additional Options” (additional options). Next, let’s take a look at how to set each step separately.

Step 1; Conditions

Here you mainly need to fill in the five items of “Buyer purchases”, “Purchased items”, “Buyer gets”, “Applies to’ and “Advanced options”. Let’s see how to fill them in one by one.

(1) Buyer purchases.

There are three options in this drop-down menu. You can choose according to the actual promotion activities. See the following for details. However, sellers should be reminded that when setting up promotions, they must remember that the first option of Step 1, “Buyer Purchases”, determines the settings of the entire Step 1. The order of writing is from top to bottom, because the settings of the upper layer will affect the options of the lower layer.

①”At least this quantity of items” means that this promotion plan is only applicable when the customer purchases × kinds of goods, and the box behind it must be filled with a number.

②”At least amount (in $)” means that this promotion plan is only applicable when the customer purchases at least × amount of goods, that is, the buyer must spend at least × money to participate in this promotion.

③”For every quantity of items purchased” means that buyers can enjoy discounts when they purchase × items at a time. If it is set that there is a discount for purchasing 5 items of a certain item at a time, then buyers who purchase 5 items of the item at a time will enjoy this discount.

(2)Purchased

The seller selects the products to be promoted here. If the seller only wants to promote some of the products on sale, he needs to create a product list first so that the system can identify which products are included in the promotion. How does the system find these products? It can provide the system with SKU lists, ASIN lists, brand names, etc. In other words, the seller can create a list of products to be promoted from different perspectives.

(3)Buyer gets.

For the discounts provided to buyers, there are also two options here.

Percent off”: enjoy a discount of × off. For example, if the seller wants a 10% discount, fill in the number “10” in the box behind it. If he wants a 95% discount, fill in “5” in the box behind it.

(4)Applies to.

Which products can participate in the promotion? There are also two options.

① “Purchased items”: This option is generally the default. However, if the seller selects “For every quantity of items purchased” in the “Buyer purchases” option, the following information needs to be filled in when selecting this option.

② “Qualifying item”: If this option is selected, click “select an asin”, which means that the buyer can only enjoy the discount after purchasing a certain specified product.

(5) Advanced options.

That is, advanced settings. Here you can add multiple promotion intervals according to your needs. For example, 5 off for purchases over 50, 15 off for purchases over 100, etc.
