For account security and to prevent image infringement, sellers cannot steal other people’s images in any way, and the product itself cannot infringe.

1. It is forbidden to steal other people’s images

When posting product images, the Amazon platform will not judge whether the image is infringing, but if the image is stolen from others and is found and reported, the Amazon platform will send an email to remind the seller that there may be infringement, and sometimes directly delete or stop selling related products, or even directly freeze the account to cancel the sales rights.

As long as the image is stolen, there is a risk of being complained, so for the sake of account security, it is recommended that sellers do not steal other people’s images and try to use their own original images. When sellers use their own original images, they should also pay attention to the preservation of the original image information. It is not ruled out that other sellers may complain that your images are infringing in the future. In this case, you can provide Amazon with the original image information as evidence of the complaint to protect your own interests.

2. The product itself cannot infringe

In addition to stealing images, there is another situation where the product in the image itself infringes, and this kind of infringement also needs to be eliminated.

(1) Products cannot be printed with other brands’ trademarks, logos, or watermarks, especially celebrity portraits, cartoon characters (such as Hello Kitty, Angry Birds).

(2) For some products, they cannot be put on sale without official authorization from the brand. For example, luxury brand products such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel, ELM327 car diagnostics, and popular film and television works (such as the characters and props of the Lord of the Rings series, Disney series, and Marvel movie series), clothing, mobile games, etc. Even if the products sold are genuine, it is an infringement without the official authorization of the brand and cannot be put on sale.
