World Medical Forum International Exhibition

MEDICA

The World Medical Forum International Exhibition (MEDICA) began in 1969 and is held annually in Düsseldorf, Germany. It is recognized as the world’s largest hospital and medical equipment exhibition, and its influence ranks first among the world’s medical trade exhibitions. World-renowned large companies and companies that produce conventional hospital equipment and medical products all launch their latest products and promote the latest technologies at MBDICA.

According to the organizer’s post-show report, in 2019, MEDICA attracted more than 5,500 exhibitors to participate in the exhibition, setting a record for the number of exhibitors; 121,000 global visitors from 170 countries and regions visited the exhibition, of which 2/3 were from outside Germany, and more than 90% of the visitors had decision-making power.

Medical robot applications have become a focus of MEDICA in 2019 and will become even more important in the future. The groundbreaking topic of medical robots has been included in the exhibitor product category of MEDICA. In this way, companies with expertise in “medical robotics” such as KUKA, AKTORmed, Intelligent Motion and Stryker can now be quickly identified by visitors.
