On the account menu at the top of the My Alibaba backend, you can set up related operations for personal information, including modifying personal information, uploading avatars, modifying business information, and setting privacy.
The method for setting “Manage Personal Information” is as follows: Click “Account” → “Personal Information” → “Manage Personal Information” in turn to enter the “Manage Personal Information” interface, where you can set basic information such as name, gender, email, and mobile phone. When filling in personal information such as name and gender, be sure to fill it out truthfully to avoid misunderstandings by overseas purchasing customers. In addition, be sure to use real email addresses and contact information so that overseas purchasing customers can directly contact the corresponding suppliers.
1) Upload avatar
Click “Account” → “Personal Information” → “Upload avatar” in turn to enter the “Upload avatar” interface. Here you can upload avatars by clicking the relevant button or dragging the image into the dotted box. Avatar images only support JPG format. The size of avatar images needs to be controlled within 3MB. When uploading, you should pay attention to using the correct image format. The account avatar is for commercial use. It is recommended to use personal photos that are in line with the business positioning and avoid using group photos. In addition, be sure to upload a photo that matches your gender, age and identity. After the avatar is successfully uploaded, the background will review it and the avatar will be displayed on the supplier’s Alibaba page within 24 hours.
2) Business Information
Click “Account”-“Personal Information”-“Business Information” in turn to enter the “Business Information” interface. In this interface, you can query the business card information, procurement information and company information corresponding to the account. When overseas purchasing customers send inquiries and issue RFOs, you can choose to send business card information, so that overseas purchasing customers can quickly obtain the supplier’s contact information. Procurement information mainly includes the industry, procurement preferences, procurement frequency, etc. Suppliers filling in accurate information is conducive to obtaining more accurate responses from overseas purchasing customers.
3) Privacy Settings
Click “Account”-“Personal Information”-“Privacy Information” in turn to enter the “Privacy Settings” interface. In this interface, you can set the visibility level of personal information and procurement information. There are 3 visibility levels: visible to all users, visible only to certified suppliers, and invisible to all users. Moderate disclosure of information is conducive to overseas purchasing customers to understand the characteristics and strength of suppliers more quickly; but if the information is excessively disclosed, it may cause privacy leakage to a certain extent. In short, suppliers should set up this part of the content according to actual conditions and their own needs.
4) Points Center
Click “Account” → “Personal Information” → “Points Center” in sequence to enter the “Points Center” interface, where you can manage points, redeem points, and view points earning, redemption, correction & penalty records. Points can be obtained through RFQ quotations, direct payment of credit insurance orders, etc., and the points can be used to redeem business opportunity packages, P4P red envelopes and RFQ quotation rights.
5) Email Subscription Center
Click “Account” → “Personal Information” → “Email Subscription Center” in sequence to enter the “Email Subscription Center” interface, where you can set up subscriptions to membership services, notifications and other emails. It is recommended that suppliers enable various email subscriptions so that they can get business opportunity consultations and important website notifications as soon as possible.
