Categories have two main functions, one is to launch new products in small batches and time periods, and the other is the Boost function.
Shopee focuses on cost-effective fashion products in product selection. Sellers can put hot-selling products on the shelves in time according to the market dynamics provided by Shopee every week. In product selection, focus on the following categories: popular shoes and clothing, beauty and health care, maternal and child products, watches and accessories, home decoration, etc. During the “Double Eleven” period in 2018, the 3C and home appliance products on the Shopee platform ranked among the top five, and the platform expanded to all categories.

Sellers can increase search traffic by optimizing product names and descriptions.
(I) Popular Searches
Through popular search terms, understand and adjust product categories and names to increase search exposure. Popular search terms must be highly matched with products, whether it is style and material or product content, capacity, size, etc. must be very accurate. At present, the Shopee platform relies on semi-manual + semi-automatic to capture these products with stacked title keywords.
When sellers launch new products, they can first search for local popular search terms on Shopee or other e-commerce platforms, and add relevant terms to the product name.
Try to use popular keywords in the title, separated by spaces, such as “iPhone6 Mickey Cute Silicone Phone Case”, and put keywords with high search volume in front; it is best to modify keywords when traffic is low (such as early morning and midnight); if the search volume is small, it will not have much impact on product rankings.
Do not change product titles frequently, otherwise the background will update product data, and the original product search ranking will be affected. Therefore, it is best to modify only a few words at a time when optimizing the title. In addition, we must also consider the display issues on mobile phones. Different countries have restrictions on the number of characters in the title. For example, Singapore is 80 characters, Indonesia is 80 characters, and other countries are 60 characters, so the keywords must be written in the front.

Increase exposure by adding popular labels to product descriptions (both are updated in real time).
Labels are updated in real time and can be seen on hot searches. Labels with higher weights are conducive to product exposure, but this is not a panacea. We need to analyze specific situations. It is easy for novice sellers to “make wedding clothes for others” by adding labels with higher weights such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Nike, etc., because novice sellers are ranked relatively low, and those ranked in front are all big sellers. This kind of big label is actually equivalent to helping others to attract traffic. For keyword labels, keep updating them regularly, and at least update the labels of several hot-selling products.
