Flipkart sellers only need to pack the goods, and Flipkart’s logistics partners will pick up the goods from the warehouse and deliver them to the buyers. Regarding delivery, the following aspects need to be considered.
(i) Freight calculation method
Flipkart’s freight is calculated based on actual weight or volume weight, whichever is higher. This is for some lightweight items that take up a lot of transportation space.
(ii) Volume weight calculation formula
Volume weight (kg) = LxBxH (length x width x height)/5000, where L, B, and H are all in centimeters (cm).
(iii) Freight standard
Applicable only to bronze sellers (every novice seller starts at a bronze level, and can be upgraded to silver or gold sellers in the next quarter after reaching the target). Silver sellers and gold sellers have a 10% and 20% discount on forward freight respectively. The freight standard does not include all taxes.

Intra-regional: Items transported within the boundaries of a region (north, south, east, west).
Inter-regional: Items transported across regions.
