Update and delete SKU
SKU cannot be changed directly in the MereadoLibre backend. Before updating/deleting SKU, sellers need to download the inventory sheet first, manually modify the existing inventory data and price of the SKU, and then upload the SKU.
Download inventory
MercadoLibre platform sellers cannot view inventory in the backend, and need to download the inventory sheet every day to check product sales.
(I) Steps to download the inventory sheet
Step 1: Open the website and log in to the MercadoLibre CBT seller account.
Step 2: Go to “Flat File” and click “Download Files”.
Step 3: Select the file type to download: “Inventory-Price&Quantity” or “Inventory-Full Data”.
Step 4: Select the items you want to download: “AII” (All) > “Active” (Products currently on sale) > “Out of Stock” (Products out of stock), and then click “Download”.
The downloaded inventory prices and quantities will generate a file containing all SKUs. Specific items include their respective product IDs, prices, and inventory quantities.
(1) Inventory-Full Data: Full Data generates a file containing all SKUs, as well as all fields associated with that SKU, including product descriptions, titles, and categories.
(2) Active: Selecting “Active” will only download items that are currently for sale on one or more MercadoLibre sites.
(3) Out of Stock: Selecting “Out of Stock” will only download items that are currently out of stock (quantity = 0).
(4) All: Selecting “All” will download all items, including those on sale and those out of stock.
(II) Download process status
Select the data to download, and you will see a list of one or more files with various statuses.
Pending: The request is in the processing queue, but the processing has not yet started.
Processing: The download request has been processed.
Success: The request has been processed and the file is available for download.
Error: The request has been processed, but an error was found.
No Data: The requested file has no data.
The downloaded file will be in compressed CSV format, and the maximum number of inventory downloads allowed by the platform per day is 12.
