Kikuu was founded in 2015. It is a B2C e-commerce platform founded by Chinese in Africa. One of the founders is a former Alibaba executive. Inspired by Alibaba’s successful business model, Kikuu has been deeply involved in the African market since its inception. Its main consumers are white-collar workers in Africa, and it is committed to building the platform into an African version of “Alibaba”.
As of the beginning of 2018, Kikuu App has more than 1.2 million registered users, with an average daily active user volume of more than 150,000. At present, Kikuu has established full logistics distribution centers in 9 countries including Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Cameroon, Congo (DRC), Congo (Brazzaville), Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, and Senegal.
(II) Platform advantages of Kikuu
(1) The platform does not charge an entry fee.
(2) The platform has its own transit warehouse in China. Sellers only need to deliver the products to be shipped to Kikuu’s Guangzhou transit warehouse, and the platform will be responsible for the subsequent customs clearance and final delivery.
(3) The platform will provide sellers with one-to-one service specialists, and sellers can follow the guidance of the service specialists in their daily operations.
(4) New sellers can participate in the seller growth plan provided by the platform, which will provide corresponding resources and support strategies for sellers at each growth stage.
