So, how to get GSTIN? Before registering, you need a valid mobile number (Indian number), email address, PAN card and temporary registration number (TRN). The specific steps are as follows.
Step 1: Log in to the GST online portal, go to “Register Now”, and fill in your name, email address and mobile number in Part A of the application form. The website will send an OTP verification code via mobile phone and email to verify whether the information filled in is true.
Step 2: After the verification is completed, the application reference number (ARN) will be sent to the seller’s mobile phone or email.
Step 3: The seller can fill in Part B of the application based on the ARN. The documents required for this step include: photos, taxpayer composition, proof of business place, bank account details, and authorization form.
Step 4: Fill in all the information and upload all the documents required in the application. The GST review officer will verify the application form within 3 working days. If the review is passed, the seller will receive a registration certificate (Form GST-REG-06); if the application is not passed, the GST review officer will send the GST-REG-03 form to fill in more required information, which needs to be provided within 7 working days; if the GST review officer is still not satisfied, he can reject it in Form GST-REG-05 and require the seller to submit an application again; if the review is passed, it will enter the next processing process and the seller will receive a registration certificate.
