The most common reason for a product to be banned from uploading is incorrect product classification. Sellers are advised to search for similar products on the Shopee website and make changes based on their classifications, then click “Update” to resubmit for review.
Other reasons why product information cannot be uploaded are as follows:
1. The product is banned
If a product is banned or removed, it may be due to a violation of Shopee regulations or the product is banned from uploading. Common violations include:
(1) Using copyright-infringing images;
(2) Providing links in store descriptions or product descriptions;
(3) Listing the wrong product category;
(4) Product descriptions that do not match the product;
(5) Listing the same product repeatedly.
2. The product is deemed to be sold inaccurately
Shopee prohibits manipulating search results to obtain unfair product rankings. If it is determined that there is false sales, the seller will generally be given three days to remove these false listings. If no improvement is made within the deadline, these products will be banned from trading or deleted. In addition, the display priority of normally listed products will also be affected, or the account may be frozen.
3. Duplicate listings
In order to give buyers a better search experience, the Shopee platform will delete duplicate listings. So, under what circumstances will it be considered a duplicate listing? Multiple listings of products with exactly the same information, exactly the same important attributes, or highly similar are considered duplicate listings. If any three of the six dimensions of product name, picture, product introduction, price, specifications, and classification have a high degree of overlap, they will also be considered duplicate listings.
Once duplicate listings are identified, Shopee will push information to the offending seller, requiring the seller to remove the duplicate listings within three days. After three days, Shopee will re-check whether the duplicate listings have been removed. If not, the Shopee platform will uniformly remove the duplicate listings. The logic for deleting duplicate products is as follows:
(1) If none of the duplicate products have been sold, only the latest product will be kept.
(2) If some of the duplicate products have been sold, the products that have been sold will be kept and the products that have not been sold will be deleted.
(3) If all of the duplicate products have been sold, all of them will be kept.
If a product meets the following conditions at the same time, it will not be able to be uploaded or modified (including batch modification).
(1) The product title is exactly the same as other products in this store (regardless of the order; even if the order is different, but the text is exactly the same, it is considered a duplicate title).
(2) The product cover image is the same as other product cover images in this store. If the seller uploads using the same URL, it will be considered a duplicate image; if the seller uploads the same image using different URLs, the system will determine whether it is a duplicate image.
Products that have been deleted are not within the scope of inspection, but products that are banned from upload are within the scope of inspection.
If the above problem is still not solved, the seller can log in to the account on the mobile phone to view the specific reasons why each product is prohibited from uploading, or consult the investment manager to find out the specific reasons.
