The development of the “Belt and Road” is inseparable from the development of logistics. The development of logistics has also better promoted the economic development of countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”.

1. Introduction to China-Europe Express

China-Europe Express (CR Express) is organized by China Railway Corporation. It runs according to fixed train numbers, routes, schedules and full-time operation times. It is an international railway intermodal train for containers and other intermodal transport between China and Europe and countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”. It is an important carrier for deepening economic and trade cooperation between my country and countries and regions along the route and an important tool for promoting the construction of the “Belt and Road”.

The China-Europe Express channel not only connects Europe and countries along the route, but also connects East Asia, Southeast Asia and other regions; it is not only a railway channel, but also a multimodal transport corridor.

At present, there are three channels for China-Europe Express:

-Western Channel. One is to leave the country from Xinjiang Alashankou or Horgos Port, connect to the Russian Siberian Railway through Kazakhstan, pass through Belarus, Poland, Germany, etc., and reach other European countries. The second is to leave the country through the ports of Horgos or Alashankou, and go through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey and other countries to reach European countries; or cross the Caspian Sea through Kazakhstan, enter Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bulgaria and other countries to reach European countries. The third is to connect with the planned China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway through Torugat or Irkeshtam, leading to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey and other countries to reach European countries.

——Central Channel. Leave the country through the port of Erlianhot in Inner Mongolia, connect with the Russian Siberian Railway through Mongolia, and reach European countries.

——Eastern Channel. Leave the country through the ports of Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia or Suifenhe in Heilongjiang, connect to the Russian Siberian Railway, and reach European countries.

2. my country’s opening of China-Europe trains

Since the first China-Europe train was launched on March 19, 2011, China-Europe trains have been running according to fixed train numbers, routes, schedules and full-time operation times, from Chongqing, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Suzhou, Yiwu and other cities in China to major cities in Germany, Poland, Spain and other countries.

Since July 2020, 70 dedicated China-Europe train lines have been laid. Among them, 35 are outbound and 35 are return.
