With the development of the Internet and “foreign trade + Internet”, cross-border e-commerce came into being. The convenience of national policies, the improvement of people’s living standards, and the construction of the “Belt and Road” have accelerated the interconnection of countries (regions), creating new opportunities for cross-border e-commerce companies.

In March 2015, the Chinese government issued the “Vision and Actions on Jointly Building the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road”, which depicted the “Belt and Road” initiative roadmap that runs through the Asian, European and African continents, connecting the active East Asian economic circle on one end and the developed European economic circle on the other end, and covering the vast hinterland countries in the middle.

“Belt and Road” is the abbreviation of “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “21st Century Maritime Silk Road”. “One Belt”, namely “Silk Road Economic Belt”, is a new economic development area formed on the basis of the concept of “Ancient Silk Road”. The Silk Road Economic Belt is connected to the Asia-Pacific Economic Circle in the east and the European Economic Circle in the west. It is considered to be “the world’s longest and most promising economic corridor”.

“One Belt, One Road”, namely “21st Century Maritime Silk Road”, is a strategic concept proposed based on history and focusing on the new historical starting point of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership between China and ASEAN to further deepen the cooperation between China and ASEAN, build a closer community of shared future, and for the well-being of both sides and even the people of the region.
