Enterprises with chaotic inventory code management cannot calculate inventory clearly.

The goods code mainly refers to the minimum stock keeping unit (SKU) of the goods, which is the abbreviation of the unified product number. The SKU codes for products of different specifications are also different, and each product has a unique SKU code. When the domestic warehouse purchases finished products and puts them into the warehouse, there will be a product code. This code is generally a unique code formed by combining the purchase information and the product information. The goods use this unique code from entering the warehouse to leaving the warehouse.

However, when we sell goods on different e-commerce platforms, the platform system will form another code of its own, such as the ASIN code of the Amazon platform. This is the product code automatically generated by the Amazon system. Sellers and sellers can query product information through the ASIN code. The SKU code of the domestic warehouse must correspond to the ASIN code of the Amazon platform; there are also SKUs sold on the platform. If they are different from the SKU of the domestic warehouse, they need to be associated; the final accounting of domestic and foreign purchase, sales and inventory data is based on the domestic unique SKU code.

After the goods code is unified, the next step is to optimize the warehouse storage management. Goods correspondence means that the warehouse is divided into areas to store goods, and the goods must be classified, such as product A in area A, product B in area B, accessories in area C, etc., and the shelf numbers are assigned, such as A0001, A0002, A0003, etc.; managing the cargo locations well will make it easier for warehouse managers to find goods quickly, and even non-warehouse managers can find goods quickly, which will not only improve work efficiency, but also make warehouse management more organized.
