Add alt text to your template images
When you add images to your online store, be sure to make them accessible to blind or low-vision customers. You can do this by adding alt text that accurately describes the content of each image. Customers using screen readers rely on alt text to access image content on your online store.
In this article, you can learn how to add alt text to an image using the template editor. You can also add alt text to product images from your Shopify admin.

To add alt text to a template image:
PC:
In the Shopify admin, go to Online Stores >Templates.
Find the template you want to edit and click Customize.
In the template editor sidebar, click the section that contains the image that needs alt text.
Under the image, click Edit.
In the dialog box, enter the alt text and click Save.
Click Save.
Mac:
In the Shopify app, tap Store.
In the Sales Channels section, tap Online Store.
Tap Manage Templates.
Find the template you want to edit and tap Customize.
Tap Edit.
In the template editor sidebar, click the section that contains the image that needs alt text.
Under the image, click Edit.
In the dialog box, enter the alt text and click Save.
Click Save.
Android:
In the Shopify app, tap Store.
In the Sales Channels section, tap Online Store.
