This article introduces the basic functions of the Shopify backend.

I registered the backend of Shopify independent station in January 2021. Even if you see that your Shopify backend is different from mine, don’t panic, because Shopify officially updates the backend frequently, so it is normal to have some differences.

The following will introduce the buttons in the Shopify backend from left to right and from top to bottom. First, there are three functions at the top of the Shopify admin.

(1) The upper left corner is the switching function of Shopify independent station account. If you have registered multiple Shopify independent station accounts with the same email address, then click here and a drop-down menu will appear. You can directly click on the account name you want to switch here to switch to the backend of another Shopify independent station with one click. , which makes it easy to view and manage multiple independent Shopify sites.

(2)The middle one is the search function. The search function of the Shopify backend is very powerful. The search scope includes your own Shopify independent station data, Shopify applications, Shopify templates, etc. Everything related to the Shopify backend can be searched here. For example, if I can’t find where to set the currency, I can directly search for “currency” to find the answer. What I usually use most is to search for order information here, which is very convenient.

(3)The upper right corner is the user name. You can click it and select the account management operations of this Shopify independent station in the drop-down menu, including managing accounts (such as changing login email and password), logging out, and opening the Shopify Help Center (here is the official help document provided by Shopify , as well as the entrance to Shopify’s customer service center), open the official Shopify forum (currently supports 8 languages, excluding Chinese for the time being), hire a Shopify expert (that is, pay a Shopify expert to help you solve the problem), use keyboard shortcuts (i.e.

Shopify backend shortcut key operation).

The above are the functions at the top of the Shopify backend. Next, we will introduce the menu bar on the left side of the Shopify backend. The following is a brief introduction in order from top to bottom.

(3) Products. The “Products” button has 5 sub-buttons: “All Products”, “Inventory”, “Transfer”, “Product Series” and “Gift Cards”. Among them, “all products” includes both products with an active status that have been officially put on the shelves, and products with a draft status that have not yet been put on the shelves.
