Although FBA can bring many benefits to sellers, not all products are suitable for FBA.
The following products are not suitable for FBA
1. Products that are too large or too heavy
Amazon often adjusts FBA charging standards for large items. and overweight items require a small fee. If the product is large or heavy, it is not suitable to use FBA.
2. Products with too low retail prices
Products with too low retail prices are not suitable for FBA, because FBA will charge a corresponding basic fee for each transaction, which makes the seller The cost has increased a lot, which results in products with too low retail prices often being unprofitable after deducting FBA’s basic fees.
3. Seasonal products
Seasonal or festive products are not suitable for FBA, because FBA mostly prepares inventory by predicting sales volume. . If the seasonality of the product is too strong, it will be more difficult for sellers to predict product sales. If the inventory of the product is low, once it is out of stock, it will have a serious impact on your sales; if there is too much inventory, the product will be unsalable, and it is unrealistic to keep the product for sale next year, because FBA will charge long-term storage fees. And the goods may be obsolete by then. Of course, if the seller has strong inventory management capabilities, this can be ignored.
4. Unpopular products
FBA will charge storage fees. Although the fees are not high, they will also incur a large amount of expenses over time. If the product is stored for more than 6 months, Amazon will also charge long-term storage fees. Therefore, sellers cannot use the Amazon fulfillment center as a warehouse. They must still sell products with good sales volume in FBA
5. Dangerous products that are expressly prohibited
Some products may be eligible to be sold on Amazon Selling, but not eligible to use FBA. Once discovered, Amazon will not perform FBA shipping operations and return such goods to the seller, and Amazon has the right to destroy such goods. The following items are prohibited by FBA:
·Any item that cannot be legally sold and distributed in all U.S. jurisdictions;
Alcoholic beverages (including non-alcoholic beer);
·Kongming lanterns or water lanterns;
·Car tires;·Gift cards, gift certificates, and other items with unauthorized marketing materials (such as brochures, price tags, and other non-Amazon stickers) Stored value tools; merchandise;

p>
·Illegally copied, copied or manufactured products;
Products determined by Amazon to be unsuitable for sale.
In short, not all products are suitable for FBA. For products that are not suitable for FBA, sellers can choose to ship them themselves or ship them from overseas warehouses.
