(1) Shopee platform commission collection policy
Shopee platform commission collection policy is divided into the following three gradients based on the monthly sales of different stores.
(1) First gradient: Stores whose total orders completed last month were less than US$500,000 will charge a commission of 5% based on the transaction volume.
(2) Second gradient: Stores whose total orders completed last month were greater than US$500,000 and less than US$1 million will charge a commission of 4% based on the transaction volume.
(3) The third gradient: Stores with a total order amount of more than 1 million US dollars completed last month will charge a commission of 3% based on the transaction volume.
Among them, the commission rate applies to the month starting from the 16th of the next month.
(2) Commission-charged orders
(1) Transaction commissions are only charged for completed orders (the basis for charging commissions does not include order shipping costs).
(2) If the order is canceled, no transaction commission will be charged.
(3) The same seller will not charge transaction commissions for each site on the platform in the first three months.
Note: The Shopee platform reserves the right of final interpretation and does not exclude adjustments to charging items and standards. The current version of the rate will be applicable when the Shopee platform releases a new commission rate.
(3) Calculation rules for the commission-free period for new sellers on the Shopee platform
Shopee provides a 3-month commission-free period to new sellers who join the platform for the first time. The commission-free period for new sellers on each site is Calculation begins with the date the seller opens a store on the corresponding platform.
(1) If Seller A opens a store on the Singapore site on July 1st, the store on the Singaporean site will start collecting commissions on October 1st.
(2) Seller A opened a store in Malaysia on September 15th, and the store on the Malaysian site will start collecting commissions on December 15th.
(4) Transaction fee
The Shopee platform began to charge sellers a 2% transaction fee on January 1, 2019. This fee actually needs to be paid to the transaction clearing service The merchant’s handling fee has previously been borne by Shopee.
The transaction fee charging standards are as follows.
(1) The handling fee is 2%.
(2) Collected for completed orders (both cash on delivery and non-cash on delivery orders will be charged).
(3) A handling fee is charged based on the order amount (including shipping costs paid by the buyer).
(4) The handling fee and the platform commission are independent of each other.
