After the seller uploads the product, if a buyer places an order, the seller needs to ship the paid order in the order management module. In Africa, where the overall credibility is not very high, fast and high-quality delivery services can win the favor of more African consumers to a certain extent, and at the same time, the repurchase rate of products will also increase to a certain extent. As a reminder, international sellers do not have cash on delivery service. If the seller receives a COD (cash on delivery) order, be sure not to ship the goods, and promptly report the “problem order” in the “PSC Seller Management Group Instructions” window to submit a request. Once shipped, the platform will not handle matters related to the refund of the order, and there will be no remedial measures.
This step is performed in the “Order” section of the Seller Center backend homepage. The Order section is divided into 4 stages: Pending, Ready to Ship, Shipped and Completed.
(1)Pending: Pending orders received by Seller Center. It must be operated and shipped within three working days, otherwise the order will be cancelled.
(2)Ready to Ship: The seller is ready to ship the goods
(3)Shipped: The package has been shipped and the order status has been transmitted online. The Jumia platform will be responsible for transportation and delivery. At this time, the order is already in the “Transportation” status
4) Completed: The package has been delivered (cancelled, returned, delivered)
The specific operation methods of order and delivery management are as follows:
Step 1: Click “Orders” from the home page of the Seller Center backend to enter the order management module.
Step 2: Click “Pending” to view the orders that need to be processed. Click “Ready to Ship” to ship the order (direct mail shipment is used as an example here), and select the nearest transit warehouse for shipment.
Transit warehouses refer to the 6 transit warehouses established by the Jumia platform in my country. This will be discussed in detail in the “Direct Mail Delivery” section below. The system will then automatically generate a tracking ID. Finally, click “ReadytoShip” to complete this step.
Step 3: Click “Shipping Labels” to print the shipping documents. Jumia’s shipping label is like a receipt that contains all the order information, such as order quantity, payment method, shipping address, etc.
Step 4: Pack the products that need to be shipped, and then update the order status within 24 hours.
