2.3 The difference between Review and Feedback
In the process of registering an account, let’s first understand the unique review system of the Amazon platform: Review and Feedback.
1. Review
On domestic e-commerce platforms, especially Taobao and JD.com, when we buy things, we often read other buyers’ reviews of the product. If they are all 5-star reviews, then you will have the confidence to buy. If you see 1-star or 2-star negative reviews, it is estimated that many people will close the page and look at other similar products. Amazon also has such product reviews, the English name is customer reviews.
The number of reviews for this product is 963. Click customer reviews and you will be redirected.
The number 1 refers to the total number of reviews and star rating of the product. There are 963 reviews here, giving it a 4.1-star rating.
The number 2 refers to the buyer’s picture review of the product. Click See all customer images (see all customer reviews) to view all image reviews of the product.
The number 3 refers to the buyer’s comment with the highest attention. Here is a 1-star negative review. It is estimated that both the seller and the buyer are unhappy.
The number 4 refers to all recent reviews by buyers. Generally sorted by time, you can view them downwards.
2. Feedback
Feedback is one of the most important features that distinguishes Amazon from domestic e-commerce platform review systems. Feedback is the final rating on the seller’s logistics and after-sales service. Domestic e-commerce The Amazon platform does not separate the seller’s logistics and after-sales service into a separate review system, but puts them together with product reviews. This is enough to show that the Amazon platform is a platform that attaches great importance to the shopping experience.
Feedback for the buyer page of a store front desk
Since I logged in with a Chinese IP address, the front desk directly translated it into Chinese.
Under “Feedback”, the Feedback content written by buyers is almost all positive reviews on logistics such as fast delivery. There is only one 1-star negative review about late delivery.
The circled area is the statistics of the number of Feedbacks from the past 30 days to 12 months. It can be seen from here that the total number of Feedbacks in the past 12 months is counted, and Feedbacks exceeding 12 months are not included in the platform statistics.
The corresponding Feedback is in the backend of Seller Center.
For a new Amazon Japan account, some processing was done for privacy reasons.
The backend of the Seller Center can be switched to Chinese, so that it is clear at a glance. You can see the order number and email address of each buyer in the backend of the Seller Center. This makes it easier for sellers to provide after-sales service. It can be seen that Feedback is also divided into different ratings from 1 to 5 stars.
Review only affects the shopping experience of a product and the seller’s daily sales, while Feedback will directly affect the seller’s store performance. If the store performance is poor for a long time, Amazon will suspend the store’s sales rights and require the seller to write a rectification plan. Therefore, new sellers must provide customer after-sales service and ensure that logistics and distribution arrive on time. A good store feedback is the long-term operation of the seller on Amazon. Fundamental protection.
