When operating the Shopee platform, we may have requirements for batch uploading, batch updating of prices and inventory, etc. The Shopee platform provides batch tools, including batch uploading, batch updating, etc.

If we need to upload a large number of products, we may need to use the bulk upload tool. The Shopee backend supports batch upload. Click the drop-down menu on the right side of “My Products” – “Batch Tools” and select the “Batch Upload” option.

After opening the batch upload tool, we can see that the Shopee platform provides upload templates, user manuals and category lists. The user manual is in English. We can download and upload the templates directly without reading it. and open the category list.

After decompression, the downloaded upload template is a table in XLSM format that supports macro verification. We need to install Microsoft Excel 2007 or above on the computer to use it. Table fields are divided into basic information, variant information and picture information.

The first column is Category ID. Open the “Category List” page, find the store category you want to upload, and fill in the corresponding code in this column.

From column B to column H are Product Name, Product Description, Price, Stock, Product Weight, Ship out in ( Shipping date) and SKU.

The Variation column after that is the variation column, which are Variation SKU (variation SKU), VariationName (variation name), Variation Price (variation price) and Variation Stock (variation stock), up to No more than 20 variations.

After that is the image column (Image 1~Image 9). You need to fill in the image address in the image column. You can add up to 9 images.

After filling in the above information in turn, click the “Validate” button above the form to verify that if the form is filled in incorrectly, an error will be prompted. If there is no error, you can click “Export” (Export) button to export as a batch upload table.

The exported batch upload table is an Excel table in XLSX format. This table can be uploaded directly in the batch upload tool in the Shopee backend.

It should be noted that the exported table does not include product attribute fields and shipping fields, so several steps are required to supplement the product information after editing the batch upload table and uploading it.

Step one: Edit product information. After uploading product information in batches, we need to review the data again and click the “Save All” button after confirming that the uploaded information is correct.

Step 2: Upload photos. Because the image address has been added to the batch upload table, there is no need to upload images in this step. You only need to wait for the images to be synchronized to the Shopee platform. If there are a large number of products, image synchronization may take a long time. If there is no response for a long time, you can refresh the page.

Step 3: Add product attributes. After synchronizing the images on the Shopee platform, we need to add product attributes and set the Brand, Material, Function, Shape, etc. of the product. The specific attributes vary according to the category of the product. For similar products, all attributes are the same, so we can apply the same product attributes.

Step 4: Add transportation information. By default, the system activates “SHOPEE Support Logistics”, which is the SLS logistics method, and displays the freight that the buyer needs to pay. After confirming that it is correct, click the “Save All” button.

Step 5: Confirm & publish the product. In this step, we need to confirm the uploaded product information, including product number, specifications, price, total inventory, weight, shipping cost, category, etc. If there is a problem with the uploaded product information, then click the edit button on the right to continue editing the product information. If there is no problem with the uploaded product information, then click the “Publish All” button and the product will be published on the Shopee platform.

When uploading product information in batches, some new sellers forget to export the batch upload table and upload the XLSM file directly. This will cause the upload to fail or fail, so after completing the form verification, you must click the “Export” button in the form to export the batch upload form before you can upload product information.

Currently, the batch upload form on the Shopee platform does not support the upload of attribute maps and size charts. We need to add this information one by one in the product details page.

In addition, when uploading product information, we must consider the user active time of each site. For example, the user active time of the Indonesian site is 11 to 13 o’clock local time.
