Warehousing includes receiving goods and putting them on shelves. WMS supports PO or ASN or blind collection methods. However, for the sake of clear accounting, overseas warehouses usually require goods to be received according to the notice. Theoretically, receiving goods requires IQC (Incoming Quality Control 1) verification, inventory, and quality inspection. Third-party overseas warehouses are usually not responsible for quality inspection or serve as value-added services.

The goods can be received by pallets/boxes, or partially received, cross-transported, sorted and stacked before being put on the shelves. Shelving means that goods are put into storage locations. According to specific logic, the area can be randomized, the original storage location can be supplemented, shelving around it, the shelving sequence can be defined, etc. Random shelving is often used under the condition of multiple cargo owners. Warehousing of returns, handling customer defective products, entering the returns area first, undergoing quality inspection, processing and packaging before entering the storage area.

For FBA first leg or transfer, you can use the cross-docking function of WMS to avoid unnecessary warehousing procedures and transfer the goods directly to the shipping office. Once put on the shelves, sellable inventory is formed. The warehousing process seems easy, but if you have signed contracts with a lot of customers for large goods, slow-selling products, and seasonal products, and you do not know the arrival time and quantity of new goods, your warehouse will be liquidated if you are not careful.

It cannot be put on the shelves. At the same time, the mixing operation efficiency of large and small goods is extremely low. At present, many overseas warehouse giants have deliberately controlled the classification of goods. In addition, there are also regulations such as light loading and heavy loading, common use in the middle, no blocking of passages, and fire protection. A slight neglect may affect the efficiency of other links. Large warehouses even need to manage the platform yard.
