Since its establishment in 1995, the Amazon platform has been developing steadily and has now become one of the world’s largest online shopping platforms with many sub-sites in many countries around the world.
On the Amazon platform, the platform’s own and third-party sellers coexist. Different seller forms enrich the product lines on the platform with different business modules, greatly satisfying the needs of consumers. In the current overall sales of the Amazon platform, the platform’s own sales business and third-party seller sales business each account for about half.
The Amazon platform has many sub-sites. According to Amazon’s investment policy, the sites that Chinese sellers can currently enter include 13 sites including the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Australia, the Middle East, India and Singapore.
Among them, the three North American sites (the United States, Canada and Mexico) can be applied for at one time, and can be opened at the same time after the account registration is passed: European sites (the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain) can also be applied for at one time, and can be opened at the same time after the account registration is passed; the other five sites need to be applied for and opened separately.
