1. Weight requirements
Amazon has different volume and weight requirements for outer boxes at different sites. For example, the US site requires that the weight of a single outer box cannot exceed 50 pounds (about 22.68kg). This is except for the case where there is only one product in an outer box and the weight of this product exceeds 50 pounds. However, an obvious multi-person joint lifting label “Team Lift” must be affixed to the outer box of overweight products; for overweight products weighing more than 100 pounds, an obvious mechanical lifting label “Mech Lift” must be affixed to the outer box.
2. Size requirements
For an outer box containing multiple SKUs in a box, the length of any side must not exceed 25 inches. If the box contains only one large item that is longer than 25 inches, the box can exceed the upper limit of 25 pounds.
3. Available packaging materials
Bubble film, complete paper (heavier kraft paper is best), inflatable air cushion, polyethylene foam board.
4. Unusable packaging materials
Various types of packaging foam (including foam made of biodegradable materials or corn starch), foam strips, corrugated paper packaging, shredded paper, polyester foam scraps, foam glue.
5. Outer box labels
Outer box labels also need to be processed and added with the “MADE IN CHINA” label.
