Guidelines for cross-border logistics in Taiwan.

1. Logistics service

For sellers in mainland China, Shopee’s cross-border logistics in Taiwan mainly uses Shopee Logistics Service, referred to as SLS (Shopee Logistics Service) and Shopee Store Delivery-Hi-Life (Super Value) channels. It also provides sellers with home delivery large-scale logistics services through third-party channels.

2. COD (Cash On Delivery) Service

Shopee supports two payment methods in Taiwan: COD (Cash On Delivery) and non-COD (non-cash on delivery). Non-COD packages require buyers to complete the payment of goods and freight online when placing an order, and can be settled by credit card, bank transfer, etc. COD packages collect payment and freight from the recipient through 7-11 convenience stores, FamilyMart, and Kuromako Delivery. Buyers do not need to make any online payment operations after placing an order.

3. Logistics time and reference freight

③ All the above quotations are tax-exclusive. If you need to issue an invoice for transportation in mainland China, a 7% tax will be added to the freight.

④ Import tariffs in Taiwan will be collected from buyers based on the customs tax bill, and a collection fee of RMB 5 per order will be charged to buyers in Taiwan.

⑤ If the goods are lost, compensation will be paid at 10 times the freight. In addition, Shopee will not bear any form of compensation.

⑥ For fragile items, if you do not choose the additional service of unpacking and inspection, Shopee will not compensate. If you choose the additional service of unpacking and inspection, if the goods are damaged, compensation will be paid at 10 times the freight. In addition, Shopee will not bear any form of compensation.

⑦ If the recipient does not indicate any damage on the receipt when signing for the goods, the consigned goods will be deemed intact and Shopee will not be obliged to accept any claims.

⑧ Any claim must be filed in writing within 15 days. No claim will be accepted after the deadline. Only one claim can be made for each consignment.

At the same time, the carrier provides several additional services such as paid consolidation/unpacking and quality inspection for sea freight sellers in Taiwan, China. Sellers can communicate with the carrier to choose the service items according to their own needs.

【Note】

① Storage fee: The carrier provides a 10-day storage cycle free of charge. If the storage period is exceeded, 1CNY/order (day) will be charged. The temporary storage of goods in mainland China is limited to 60 days. Please ship or return the goods within the time limit. If the goods are overdue, they will be destroyed.

② If the seller has a parcel that has not been pre-declared online, if no one claims it within 10 days after arriving at the Fuzhou transshipment warehouse, it will be deemed that the seller voluntarily and unconditionally abandons the goods, and Shopee will destroy the goods on its own.

③ For single oversized goods that require the assistance of cranes and other large equipment (a piece of goods weighing more than 600kg, or a single side length of more than 2.5 meters, which cannot be handled and moved by manpower alone, a crane or other special equipment is required to assist in moving), a large equipment usage fee of 400CNY/piece (collected offline) and a wooden rack fee of 120CNY/piece for fragile goods (collected offline) will be charged.

④ All quotations are tax-exclusive prices. If a transportation invoice for mainland China is required, a 7% tax on the freight will be added.

【Note】

① The off-island delivery surcharge is charged per piece, and the logistics company will charge this part of the surcharge directly to the buyer.

② Off-island delivery requires that the weight of a single piece of goods be less than 20kg (inclusive). If the weight of a single piece of goods exceeds 20kg, please split it by yourself.

③ The time limit for off-island delivery needs to be increased by 5~7 days (the impact of climate is negotiable).

④ Delivery range of Gaodao in Taiwan: Kinmen, Penghu, and Matsu.

Special restrictions and regulations on logistics channels

In addition to the prohibited situations clearly stipulated by Chinese laws and regulations, the use of Shopee’s logistics channels in Taiwan should also pay attention to the following special restrictions.

SLS channel general and special goods distinction and category restrictions

Due to different customs clearance requirements, items sent to Taiwan can be divided into general goods channels and special goods channels. The list of prohibited goods can be found in the “Shopee Platform Cross-border Seller Logistics Guide”.

For goods not in the guide, please ask the customer service staff and merchant manager for confirmation. At the same time, the total value of the incoming parcel shall not exceed NT$20,000 and will not be delivered. Taxes, fines and related expenses incurred by the seller due to violation of the prohibited list will be borne by the seller.

① Parcel weight limit: parcel weight ≤10kg

② Parcel size cannot exceed 45cmx30cmx30cm.

③ Prohibited goods cannot be transported. The list of prohibited goods can be found in the “Logistics Guide for Cross-border Sellers on the Shopee Platform”. [Note]

① The value of a single parcel leaving mainland China must be less than RMB 5,000. If it exceeds the limit, a formal customs declaration is required.

② The consignee’s declared name must be filled in in Chinese, and the phone number must be a valid phone number in Taiwan, China, otherwise it will affect the normal customs clearance of the goods.

3 Special regulations

In addition to the restrictions and prohibitions clearly stipulated in Chinese laws and regulations, Taiwan’s shipping channels also have the following restrictions and precautions.

① Single item weight limit: Single item weight ≤70kg

② Package size requirements: Single package size ≤2mx11mx1.1m. Parcel volume <1.7mx1.7mx2.1m③ Prohibited from receiving and sending: drugs, counterfeit goods, dangerous goods, flammable and explosive goods, corrosive goods, medicines, fresh food, reactionary books and periodicals, USB flash drives/CDs, electronic cigarettes and their accessories, fresh food, chemicals, canned beverages, automobile/motorcycle accessories, cultural relics, gold and silver jewelry, securities, arms and weapons, etc. Once the goods are seized, the consignor shall bear all responsibilities.

④ For goods that have not passed security inspection (security inspection return), no freight will be refunded, and the fines will be borne by the customer. The storage fees caused by the return will be borne by the customer.

⑤ Please be sure to fill in the detailed full name of the consignee or contact person, company or factory name, address, telephone number, and write the recipient’s ID number and company unified number. If it involves false reporting, underreporting, infringement, counterfeiting, etc., it will be fined, confiscated, etc., and all consequences caused by inconsistent declarations are at your own risk.

Sellers using SLS logistics services need to send packages to the SLS transfer warehouse designated by Shopee for delivery.

About final delivery

About final delivery of SLS channels

SLS channels provide sellers with two services: home delivery and store delivery. The final delivery of home delivery in Taiwan is completed by Black Cat Delivery, and for store delivery, the delivery staff will deliver the package to the designated 7-11 convenience store or FamilyMart to wait for the buyer to pick up the goods. If the first delivery is unsuccessful, Black Cat Home Delivery can deliver for free within seven days. There is no secondary delivery service for store delivery.

Last-mile delivery range: Delivery is available throughout Taiwan. Delivery precautions are as follows.

(1) If the floor of the resident is equipped with an elevator or there are residents on the first floor, free door-to-door delivery is available.

(2) If there is no elevator on the floor of the resident or the items cannot enter the elevator, they must be carried upstairs manually: For each item weighing more than 50kg, a RMB 20 upstairs fee will be charged for each additional floor. If related handling equipment is required, the fees incurred must be negotiated and settled with the on-site delivery personnel.

(3) Change of delivery address: Before the goods arrive in Taiwan, the buyer can contact the customer service staff to change the delivery address. If the address is changed after the package arrives in Taiwan, it will be charged as a secondary delivery.

(4) If a secondary delivery is required due to the buyer’s problem, an additional delivery fee of RMB 20 per item (time) will be charged, which the buyer must pay to the delivery person on site.

If the first delivery is unsuccessful, the last-mile delivery company will manually notify the recipient and arrange another delivery time for a second delivery. A delivery fee of RMB 20 per piece will be charged. If the relevant personnel cannot contact the recipient, the storage fee will be waived for the first three days. From the fourth day onwards, a storage fee of RMB 50 will be added per day. If the recipient is still unable to be contacted after the eighth day or the seller does not request to change the delivery address or place the goods in other ways, Shopee will deem the seller to voluntarily and unconditionally abandon the goods, and Shopee will destroy the goods on its own.

About SLS logistics settlement

Sellers who have opened an account on the Shopee platform will directly settle with the platform. At present, the Shopee platform will charge sellers according to the actual freight for all orders (including normal delivery, rejection, and orders for which buyers apply for refunds and returns). After the transaction is completed, the transaction amount paid by the buyer will be paid to the seller by Shopee after deducting the freight and all related fees.
