For sellers in mainland China, Shopee Malaysia’s cross-border logistics mainly uses SLS. At the same time, West Malaysia also provides B2C shipping services for sellers through third-party channels (Malaysia is divided into West Malaysia and East Malaysia).

2. Logistics timeliness and freight reference

②SLS billing weight is based on actual weight. At the same time, in order to support cross-border sellers to expand categories (such as home life, fashion shoes and bags, maternal and child toys, auto parts and motorcycle parts, small appliances, outdoor sports and other categories with high weight segments). Shpee has launched the SLS heavy goods channel for sellers, and the heavy goods channel seller freight reference and timeliness.

【Note】

①The above fees only include transportation fees. The final freight is calculated based on the actual weighing and volume weight (volume weight calculation method: length x width x height (cm) 16250), whichever is greater. The weight is rounded up: if the weight is 5.1kg, the measured weight is charged as 6kg. The specific tariffs and freight charges shall be subject to the latest customs policies and the actual charging standards of the carrier. At the same time, the carrier will provide paid package collection services. For details, please consult the carrier’s customer service.

②The weight of a single item is ≤50kg. If the weight exceeds 50kg, there will be additional delivery fees. For details, please contact the carrier’s customer service.

③From January 10, 2020, the sea freight will be divided into sections according to the weight of the package and implemented as follows: 0~10kg per order discount of 5 Malaysian ringgit; 10.01~20kg per order discount of 10 Malaysian ringgit; 20kg and above per order discount of 15 Malaysian ringgit. At the same time, the carrier provides two additional services for paid unpacking inspection and reinforcement for Malaysian sea freight sellers. Sellers can communicate with the carrier to select service items according to their own needs.

【Note】

① Storage fee. The carrier provides a 20-day free storage period for small goods, and a storage fee of RMB 1 per order (day) will be charged for overdue storage; the carrier provides a 10-day free storage period for large goods, and a storage fee of RMB 1 per order (day) will be charged for overdue storage.

②If the weight of a single unit exceeds 30kg and the sum of the three sides exceeds 200em, a RMB 10 ticket handling fee will be added for consolidated transportation.

③ For oversized cargo in a single room that requires cranes and other large equipment (if a piece of cargo weighs more than 100kg or the length of a single side exceeds 25 meters and cannot be moved by manpower alone, a crane or other special equipment is required to assist in moving), a large equipment usage fee of RMB 400/piece (collected offline) and a wooden rack fee of RMB 120/piece (collected offline) for fragile items will be charged.

④ All quotations are tax-exclusive prices. If a domestic transportation invoice in China is required, a 7% tax on the freight will be added.

3. Special restrictions and regulations for logistics channels

1) Special restrictions and regulations for SLS logistics channels

In addition to the restrictions and prohibitions clearly stipulated by the laws and regulations of Malaysia and China, the SLS Malaysia channel has the following restrictions and precautions.

① Package weight limit: package weight ≤ 25kg.

② Package size requirements: single side length < 1.5m.

③Some products are not yet available for transport through the SLS Standard Delivery channel. For detailed categories, please refer to the “Shopee Platform Cross-border Seller Logistics Guide”.

2) Special restrictions and regulations for sea shipping channels

In addition to the restrictions and prohibitions clearly stipulated by the laws and regulations of Malaysia and China, the Standard Sea Shipping Malaysia channel also has the following restrictions and precautions.

① Single item weight limit: Single item weight ≤ 50kg

② Package size requirements: The sum of length, width and height <6m, the longest side length <3.5m.

③ Prohibited from receiving and sending: cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and accessories, wine (including beer), chemicals, meat, animals and plants, milk powder, white powder, banknotes, bills, flammable and explosive items, corrosive items, toxic items, radioactive items, illegal and prohibited items, official documents of state organs, national protected wild animals and endangered wild animals and their products. It is not allowed to endanger national public security and the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations through the consignment channel.

④ When shipping, the consignor’s valid ID or company business license must be uploaded to the carrier’s system so that the carrier can cooperate with the local public security law enforcement department for review.

⑤ For all shipped items, the actual items in the package must be consistent with the item information reported by the seller in the carrier’s system to ensure that the order and goods are consistent. If the customs finds that the name of the item is omitted/concealed/falsely reported, brand infringement/counterfeiting, and any other illegal, prohibited, or tax evasion behaviors during export customs clearance in the country of shipment (China) and import customs clearance in the destination country, all economic losses and legal liabilities incurred shall be borne by the seller.

⑥ The seller should strengthen the packaging of fragile and valuable items by himself, such as: wooden boxes, wooden frames, anti-collision foam, air column bags, etc. If the goods are damaged due to improper packaging by the seller, the seller shall bear the responsibility.

4. About Shipping

When the seller uses SLS logistics services, the parcel needs to be sent to the SLS transfer warehouse designated by Shopee to complete the shipment. Please visit the Shopee website for the specific shipping address and contact information.

5. Ocean parcel tracking

Sellers can check the status of parcels through the f carrier WeChat account, and can also contact the carrier’s customer service to handle abnormal parcels.

6. About the final delivery in Malaysia

1) About SLS’s final delivery in Malaysia

SLS’s final delivery in Malaysia will be delivered three times for free.

If the three deliveries fail, the SLS final carrier will temporarily return the parcel to Shopee’s Malaysia warehouse and notify Shopee’s customer service to wait for the result. If the parcel is unclaimed or the buyer cannot be contacted within 14 days in Shopee’s Malaysia warehouse, the parcel will be destroyed by the warehouse.

2) About the final delivery of Malaysia’s ocean shipping

Delivery range: Delivery is available in all cities in Malaysia, and a delivery fee will be charged for remote areas. In sparsely populated areas, the delivery staff will communicate with the consignee in a timely manner and deliver the goods at the agreed time.

Delivery precautions are as follows.

① The floor of the residents is equipped with an elevator, and the delivery staff will deliver the package directly to the door for free.

② If there is no elevator on the floor of the residents or the items cannot enter the elevator, they must be carried upstairs manually. If the floor does not exceed 5 floors and the weight of a single item is less than 10kg, the delivery staff can deliver the package to the floor for free; a single item weighing 10~100kg will be charged a floor fee of 1.5 Malaysian ringgit/kg per floor. If relevant handling equipment is required, the buyer needs to negotiate the relevant fees with the carrier.

③ If the second delivery is caused by the buyer’s reasons, a delivery fee of 50 Malaysian ringgit/ticket (time) will be added, and the buyer needs to pay the delivery fee to the delivery staff.

7. About the settlement of logistics costs

1) About the settlement of SLS logistics costs

Sellers who have opened an account on the platform will directly settle with the platform. Currently, the Shopee platform will charge sellers for all orders (including normal delivery, rejection, and orders for which buyers apply for refunds and returns) according to the actual shipping costs. After the transaction is completed, the transaction amount paid by the buyer will be paid to the seller by Shopee after deducting the shipping costs and all related fees.

2) About the settlement of ocean freight logistics costs

Sellers must register and open an account with the carrier as a seller on the Shopee platform before they can use this service, and they need to settle directly with the carrier.
