If sellers want to make profits through Amazon store operation, it is necessary to add products in the seller backend. So, how to add products in the seller backend? Generally speaking, you can choose the way to add products according to whether the product is available on the Amazon platform. Let’s explain it in detail according to different situations.
Add products already on the platform
If the product that the seller wants to sell is a product on sale on the Amazon platform, then the seller can use other people’s product information templates to add products. The specific steps are as follows.
Step 01: Enter the main page of the seller backend, hover the mouse on the “Catalog” in the left menu bar, a subcategory list box will open, and select the “Add Product” option.
Step 02: Enter the “To Start Adding Products” page, on which ① enter the product name, such as “white T-shirt (translated as: white T-shirt)”; ② click the icon.
Step 03: After the operation is completed, find the product to be added from the search results, and click the “Show Product Variants (a group of related products, such as different colors of the same clothing are variants)” button behind the product.
Step 04: After the operation is completed, several variations of the product will appear. ① Click the “Select Status” button behind a variation; ② Select the “New” option in the drop-down list box that opens.
Step 05: After the operation is completed, click the “Sell This Product” button behind the product.
Step 06: After the operation is completed, enter the “Quote” page of the product. Fill in the seller’s SKl (abbreviation of Stock Keeping Unit, translated as: inventory unit), product price and product quantity and other information on this page, and click the “Save and Complete” button.
Step 07: After the operation is completed, enter the “Inventory” page. If the page shows “Your update has been submitted”, it means that the product addition information has been submitted successfully.
Step 08: Wait for a while and refresh the page. If the product you just added appears on the refreshed “Inventory” page and it shows that the product is “on sale”, it means that the product has been added successfully.
