Many Chinese sellers, more of them are older generation sellers, the longer they join the platform, the more they don’t want to miss this opportunity, and they all want to get a share of the local stores, but we don’t understand the local situation, and there are certain conditions for opening local stores, which are difficult for us to meet.
First, the local store returns the money.
Since you have opened an online store locally, the platform will pay you according to the local payment requirements, that is, directly bind your local bank card. If you do not have a local bank card, there are also special payment service agencies on the market. When you need it, go to them, but they will not help you withdraw it for free, but will charge a certain fee; another is security. Under normal circumstances, it is not you who directly operates it. If you meet the wrong person, it is understandable that they will take the money and run away.
The collection time is very fast. As long as the consumer confirms that the payment has been received, the money will enter your account, and then you can withdraw it directly without waiting for payment.
Therefore, in terms of payment collection, local stores have advantages over multinational stores; multinational stores can pay back by themselves, the fee is 1%, and the payment time is slower; local stores pay back faster, and you can withdraw money when the goods arrive, and the fee is 2%.

In terms of traffic, the Shopee platform will be more inclined to local stores. The same traffic will be given priority to local stores, and the conversion rate of local stores is still good.
Fourth, express delivery.
When doing cross-border stores, we usually use SLS, that is, Shopee has established four transit warehouses in China, namely Shenzhen, Shanghai, Quanzhou and Quanzhou. Customers place orders in our warehouses. If there are goods, they can be directly delivered to the transit warehouse closest to you in China, and the rest will be delivered by Shopee officials; if there are no goods, find a freight forwarder and let them help you deliver the goods to the transit warehouse, and the rest will be delivered by the official.
But the local stores say something different from now.
The logistics of local stores cannot go through the transit warehouse, and you need to mail it yourself. If you don’t have an overseas warehouse, you need to find a local logistics cooperation, first ship the products abroad, and then ship them from abroad. The logistics information will also show that you are shipping locally abroad. Whether you mail it yourself, find a storage point, or find a third-party logistics cooperation platform, you need to do all these by yourself.
Time-consuming
The materials required for opening a cross-border store are different from those for opening a local store. The materials for opening a cross-border store are generally good, and we just need to apply for a business license and store turnover; but for opening a local store, you can only buy it. It’s okay if you encounter a good store, but it is not ruled out that you may encounter a scam, so you have to keep your eyes open.
