Many Amazon sellers want to know how to refund advertising tax in the Amazon backend. Here is the specific operation process.
1. Select the site and download the file
Select the tax refund site, search [Data Report-Tax Document Library] in the backend to find Product Ads Vat Invoice, and download the invoice PDF file. (Because the invoice is updated every month, it needs to be downloaded every month)
2. Open an English case
Since the case can only provide 6 documents, the seller needs to integrate the downloaded multiple invoice files into one PDF file;
There are options related to VAT taxes in the Case list. Click in and select the [Request a vat refund of azonfes] subcategory.
The content of the case should include: VAT ID number, the time period for collecting advertising tax, indicating that it is not a non-UK/EU entity company and should not charge this fee, indicating the total amount of advertising tax currently collected and should be refunded, in order to prevent making English calls, indicating that you are not good at English, so you can reply to the email. The PDF file of the invoice merged before uploading the attachment.
3. Monitor progress
Amazon sends regular emails to sellers every week, but it is not necessarily a confirmation message. It may be a reply that the seller has submitted it to the relevant team. Please wait patiently. At this time, the seller can urge appropriately, remember to upload the new advertising tax file, and inform the amount to be refunded after the update.
Don’t worry about sellers who have not received tax refunds. According to feedback, the final tax refund time for each seller is different, some are 15 days, and some take three or four months. After receiving the refund of advertising tax, the seller said that the store account no longer receives 20% advertising VAT.
Some sellers reported that Amazon will find a reason to review the seller’s store before the seller receives a refund, or everyone may have different situations, but it is best for sellers to prepare relevant information documents in advance and handle store KYC audits to avoid losses.
