On the Ozon platform, knowing how to handle inventory is one of the keys to running a successful e-commerce business. This article will detail the role of the product archive library and how to restore, delete or retain products from the archive.

1. The role of the product archive library.

When there are no spot products in the warehouse, these products will not be available for purchase on the Ozon platform. At this time, the inventory quantity of these products will be displayed as “0” in the product list of the personal center.

If the products are not restocked within 30 days, these products will disappear from the search results of the Ozon platform, that is, buyers will no longer be able to find these products.

However, if you cannot restock or intend to remove the products, you can choose to move these products to the product archive library. Once moved to the archive library, these products will disappear from the personal center product summary list and will appear in the “Archived” column on the “Products and Prices → Product List” page. They can be restored from “Archived” to the product list at any time.

2. Steps to archive products.

If you want to move products to the archive, please follow the steps below:

Open the “All Products” column in the “Products and Prices → Product List” page and check one or more products.

Confirm that the values in the “Ozon Warehouse” and “My Warehouse” columns of the selected products are both “0”.

If you selected a single product, click “Actions” and select “Move to Archive”; if you selected multiple products, click “Actions” → “Move to Archive”.

In this way, the selected products will be moved to the archive.

3. How to restore archived products?

If you decide to sell these products again on the Ozon platform, you can restore them from the product archive:

Open the “Archive” column in the “Products and Prices → Product List” page and check one or more products.

Click “Actions” → “Restore”.

In this way, the selected products will be moved to the product summary list. Afterwards, you can manage these products again.

Please note that if the products have not passed the review before they are moved to the archive, they will need to be reviewed before they can be sold on the Ozon platform.

Deleting and retaining products

Please note that products that have passed the review cannot be completely deleted, and the platform will retain these product information for future re-listing.

If the products have not passed the review, you can choose to delete them:

Open the “Archived” column in the “Products and Prices → Product List” page and check one or more products.

Click “Action” → “Delete”.

The selected products will be deleted and cannot be restored.

At the same time, for products that have been ordered but not yet processed, they will be regarded as “reserved products”. These products will temporarily disappear from the list of available products, but as long as the relevant orders are processed, they will be restored to a state available for sale.

By using the product archive library reasonably and controlling the reservation status of products, you can manage inventory more effectively and improve the operational efficiency of e-commerce business.
