When we shop on domestic or foreign e-commerce platforms, we can evaluate the seller after receiving the goods. On eBay, it is also very simple to evaluate sellers. The following will introduce in detail how to evaluate sellers on eBay and how to modify the evaluation.
First, take the eBay US site as an example. After logging in, enter the “Sales Center” page, find and click the “Order” tab in the top navigation bar. Find the order you need to evaluate in the order list.
Next, on the right side of the row where the order is located, you will see a “Function” column. Click the “Leave Feedback” option to enter the evaluation page.
On the evaluation page, you can evaluate the seller according to your actual experience. You can rate and leave a message from aspects such as product quality, description accuracy, and seller’s service. After filling in the evaluation, click the “Leave Feedback” button and your evaluation will be successfully submitted.
If you want to modify the previous evaluation, eBay also provides the corresponding operation method. For evaluations that are less than 30 days old, sellers can send a request to modify the evaluation to buyers.
First, the seller needs to log in to the eBay backend and enter the “Evaluation Feedback Forum” page. You can find the “Feedback tools” block on the page and click “Follow up to Feedback left” to enter the “Modify the negative review” page.
On the “Modify the negative review” page, select the order whose review needs to be modified and select the reason for the buyer’s request to modify the negative review under “Give the buyer a reason”. Then, enter the reason for the buyer’s request to modify the negative review and click Send.
The system will send a request email to the buyer and send a copy to the seller. After receiving the email, the buyer needs to decide whether to agree to modify the review within 10 days. If the buyer does not reply within 7 days, the system will automatically remind the buyer. After the buyer replies, eBay will also notify the seller by email.
If the buyer agrees to modify the review, the seller can view the modified review on the “Evaluation Management” page. For malicious reviews, sellers can also file a complaint to delete these reviews.
It should be noted that eBay stipulates that each seller can only make 5 credit rating modification requests per calendar year. If the seller receives more than 1,000 reviews, he or she can get an additional 5 opportunities to modify the review, and so on.
Sellers do not have to worry too much about receiving negative reviews, because if there is only one negative review, it will not affect the seller’s performance evaluation. eBay will evaluate based on the overall evaluation ratio. However, for novice sellers, if the store does not have many reviews, it is necessary to pay special attention to avoid unnecessary impact on the store.
Although buyers may not necessarily modify their reviews, sellers can reply to buyers through the credit rating forum. In the reply, you can apologize to the buyer, explain the problem, or provide after-sales service. This can reduce the impact of negative reviews.
In summary, after completing a transaction on eBay, the buyer can enter the sales center page and find the order to be evaluated. Select the option to leave feedback in the function bar and fill in the evaluation. If the buyer needs to modify the evaluation, the seller can send a request to modify the evaluation to the buyer. Sellers should also pay attention to eBay’s regulations during the evaluation process, reasonably use the opportunity to modify the evaluation, and communicate with buyers through the credit evaluation forum.
