Amazon has four types of Amazon seller accounts, namely: Amazon Seller Central (3P), Amazon Vendor Central (VC), Amazon Vendor Express (VE) and Amazon Business Seller (AB). The following are their characteristics:
1. Amazon Seller Central.
SC or AS for short, also known as 3P Seller (third-party seller) is the most common type of seller in the world, so there are the most problems here.
Global store opening & self-registration: Self-registration is a seller who registers an Amazon seller account directly through the Amazon registration webpage. Global store opening is just a store opening method for Amazon for Chinese sellers, which was officially introduced to China in early 2012. Global store opening only accepts enterprises (including mainland companies, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan companies). In this way, the company and other content must be reviewed first.
2. Individual sellers & professional sellers: In China, in addition to self-registration or “global store opening”, self-registered 3P sellers are divided into individual sales plans and professional sales plans.
2. Amazon Business Seller.
Abbreviated as AB, Amazon business is a one-stop commercial procurement website newly launched by Amazon in 2015, targeting corporate and institutional buyers. Through Amazon Business, corporate and institutional buyers can access a large number of product choices, enjoy the company’s unique prices, and 2-day product delivery services, and can easily complete the approval process, making commercial procurement more convenient. In simple terms, Amazon Seller Central is a B2C Amazon third-party seller account, and Amazon Business Seller is a B2B account that can provide a one-stop service for business owners to purchase the required goods. The same company can apply for both accounts at the same time.
3. Amazon Vendor Central.
VC is Amazon’s supplier, and most of its self-operated products come from VC sellers. The VC system is relatively closed and is an invitation-based system. If Amazon does not invite you, you cannot apply for entry. However, VC has no limit on the number of uploaded products, and VC fully supports A+ pages.
4. Amazon Vendor Express.
Abbreviated as VE, Amazon’s supplier platform launched in 2015 is a simplified or primary version of VC, with its own application channels. VE can only list 85 products, and VE does not fully support A+ pages. Currently, newly registered VE only provides 5 A+ product pages at most.
The above are the basic types of Amazon seller accounts, which are mainly divided into four categories: third-party sellers, AB, VC, and VE.
